I wonder if there is any drawback to putting the mufflers under the floor rather than the stock location at the rear of the car of the early 60s Galaxies.  Would it cause more heat inside the car?  More noise?  Or is it a better location?  Was Ford wrong for putting the mufflers at the rear?

Nice job!  How did you mount it to the radiator?

I think I have seen pictures of it on the FE Forum.  I believe someone on the forum owns it, but I'm not sure.

I wouldn't cap off the other tube either.  Here is how the hose hooks up.  I bought my hose from autokrafters.  Here is a link to the part. http://www.autokrafters.com/p-300-ac-blower-motor-vent-hose-60-62-ga-61-66-tb.aspx

I found one taped to the inside of a door panel on one of my 62 Galaxies.

Here is my main project.  It is a 62 Galaxie 500 XL that my grandfather bought brand new.  I did a mini restoration on it when I first got it over 25 years ago, and then about 9 years ago I started a frame off restoration and am still working on it.

About a year ago I bought this wagon and have done a ton of work on it in the last year which means nothing got done on my main project, the XL.

I also have this 63 Galaxie 500 XL 4 door hardtop that I have done a bunch of work on this past year also.

Here is an engine pic of the 63.

Let us know how the adjusting goes.  I will need to adjust mine if I ever get it on the road again.

I like it.  It seems to have more functionality and doesn't seem like it will be too hard to learn.
