Typically, the older stock 14" wheels will not clear a disc brake caliper. Scarebird sells a disc brake conversion which states 15" wheels are required however, 14" wheels from a 75-80 Granada/Monarch can be utilized. Sounds like a nice car you've got there. Good luck!

Send your gear to Red Head Steering gear in Seattle, WA to be refurbished. They are the best.

Yes you can but offset will be critical as well as tire sizing.

Check out Born Again Classics for re-plated bumpers. Also, Dennis Carpenter is selling new repop bumpers front and rear for 1964 Galaxies.

I went to fatman's web site and they didn't have any control arms listed for the galaxie.

For some reason they've never shown up in the catalog, saw them mentioned in Mustang and Ford's magazine, apparently if you call them they have them. Not sure why they never updated the website or catalog. Not enough interest? Check out this link:

The 427 was not available until mid-year so there wasn't even a full years production run of the 427's, the early '63 Galaxies were still equipped with 406's. So yes, finding this engine is going to be difficult.

FatMan Fabrications is making tubular control arms for early Galaxies. Rare Parts has the offset shaft eliminator kit. Gearhead Cruisers was also making control arms for early Galaxies but I believe they are out of business.

According to the FoMoCo parts interchange, the hoods from a Galaxie will not work on a Mercury. Also, as far as Mercury goes, 61 and 62 hoods do not interchange either.

It's cool to see the later Galaxie's finally getting the attention they deserve. Definetly post some pictures if you can.
