Ref. my 59 Galaxie Sunliner front seat-back adjustment. My darling wife says the front seat reclines too far back.
There are no adjusting bolts as in newer cars. Should I glue wood blocks where the bolts would go?
The shop manual Part 17-2 shows nothing. Please advise.

There is no adjustment that I know of. On my 64.5 Mustang there is a bolt that comes down out of the back and you can turn it so that it goes either in or out to adjust the seat angle. Not a simple fix between drivers but an adjustment nun the less. You may be able to come up with something similar.

I figured it out !! I am somewhat of a packrat..dumpster diver. I found a couple of sheet metal brackets
that fit perfectly down under the steel casting elbow...the pivot for the seat back. I bent the brackets
making them into a smaller part 3 thicknesses totaling about 1/4" or less The width was about 1"
The tilt of the seat back moved about 1" forward. I can add to the shims for more adjustment.
