64 Galaxie rear springs

I have a 64 2 dr  custom sedan i am going to put a 428 in an am wondering how many leafs the 427 cars had or even if some knows about what a 390-427 sedan would have had. Also is there a difference between front springs of a 289 car verses a big block car as some cataloges only show one price for either.

Re: 64 Galaxie rear springs

It is my understanding that Ford only had two different suspensions for the rear.  There was the standard and the heavy duty.  Just because a car got a really big motor didn't mean it always got the heavier rear suspension.  I think it was more about towing and such.

As to the front springs the ones listed are for big block cars.  The aftermarket doesnt have SB coils.  Thats why I went with coil overs on my 62 Galaxie.
