I've considered that. My problem with the heater hose is that it needs to make a sharp 90 decree bend without kinking . Also the original hose is a different diameter on both ends. I'll keep looking. I was hoping to find someone dealing in used or NOS parts.

here is another thought, what if you went down to your local auto parts store and looked at there selection of radiator hoses. A lot of those have bends in them and the ones for newer cars are not very big around. There may be a section of one that would do the job. That is if you cant find a NOS part

I wish it was. The hose you found is for the a/c blower. The one I'm after is a vent hose for the heater blower motor. Just a simple L shaped hose about 6 inches long at most, but it's different diameters at each end, which is the complication.
I think the reason it's hard to find is because the vented style heater motor it attaches to is not reporduced. Only the non-vented type heater motors are now available AFAIK.
