Hi All,
I am new to the forum and had accidentally placed my first post in the classifieds so here it is again in the right place...
I have 64 Galaxie 2 door in Wimbledon White with the red interior but I need to repaint the dash and corresponding coloured metal trim. What would be the correct colour code for the red? The interior code is 15 on the ID but cant seem to find a corresponding paint code to order. I had read online somewhere that its not Rangoon Red so just trying to confirm what is correct.

I think the the 15 code refers to the seat fabric and not the painted metal colour. The paint used for the interior surfaces is not the same finish and/or sheen as the exterior paint, so if you use Rangoon Red paint for the exterior it may not look much like the interior finish. From the Mercury Stuff site it looked like Rangoon Red was the only red available, so it may only be formulation that makes the same colour look different. Repaint everything and it won't matter what colour you use.

Thanks for the suggestion, might be best if I visually match the current trim paint as close as possible, certainly will be better than the old faded paint it is right now! Cheers, Terry

Your best bet is to take a part to the paint shop that isn't faded and have them color match it. The inside of the glove box door is probably the best choice.
