fuel guage

I have a 1967 galaxie and the fuel guage doesnt work. Does anyone know for sure if there is a constant voltage  regulator behind the instrument cluster?

Re: fuel guage

Having an early 60s Gal, I can not say for certain BUT I know for a fact that the late 60s Mustangs use one and so I am sure the Galaxies do too.  In fact it is probably the same one.

Re: fuel guage

Yes, but typically all of the gauges will go haywire if the CVR is bad. I suspect you have a sending unit or gauge problem. Try grounding the sending unit wire and see if the gauge moves.
