    1964 Galaxie 500 Brake Backing/Carrier plate replacements

    Does anyone know a source where to find refurbished brake backing plates, front and back,  for 64 Galaxie (new or refurbished)?

    Can the grooves in the plates caused by the shoes be repaired with welding and grinding?

    Yes, you can repair them by welding them and grinding them .
