Installing a new fuel tank

I'm got a new fuel tank for my XL convertible on the way. The pictures of it show 2 holes. One in the fill hole. There isn't a spout or anything to connect the filler tube to. Do I have to fabricate something or will it be obvious when I take out the old tank?  Anyone done this?
Thanks in advance

Re: Installing a new fuel tank

I believe (but don't hold me to it) that a neoprene washer fits in the hole and the filler tube presses through it.

I used to think that being a car guy was shallow, but now I don't give a crap

Please, when asking questions, list all the pertinent info.

Is this the 1969 that you have other threads asking questions about?

The fuel filler tube is a separate part, attaches to the tank with an O-ring type seal.
