I have a 1965 500 Galaxie Convertible with a 352 engine and cruisematic transmission and was wondering if any other tansmission will bolt up without any mods??

What type of Cruise-O-Matic? I believe all Ford autos were called Cruise-o-matic, so you need to know if you have a C6, C4, FMX, MX, FX, etc. You'll need a trans with an FE bell housing.

The overall length will the key, so you can use your existing drive shaft. Car and truck tranmissions tended to use different tailhousings, so keep that in mind when looking for units that will bolt to an FE engine.
