Re: Shocks

Rock Auto lists the KYB 343136 (GR-2, lower pressure compared to the Gas-A-Just) for the '62 Country Sedan.  Amazon sells it too, which IMHO would be easier to return if Rock is wrong.  FWIW, shocks.com lists it as the only rear shock as well.  Guess if you prefer Monroe, maybe identify the equivalent part via the lengths and the mounting types(?).
If money is no object, Performance Online lists some ...

Re: Shocks

Thanks for the input..

I am just surprised that Monroe would not have a listing... why make a front shock and not a rear shock!!
KYP is OK for me...

I was going to use the pair off my 77 Ranchero, but they'd have to go in upside down, which is not good..
just too bad they are almost brand new...

Thanks again guys.

I was looking for a pair of air shocks for my 61 and found nobody made one. Looking at my 79 Ranchero air shocks it looked like they would work but they would have to be installed upside down like you mentioned. I call Gabriel tech and told them what I wanted to do. They said it wouldn't work but gave me a part# of a pair that would work. They were a bit shorter and were for some Japanese vehicle but they worked just fine. Been on the car over a year now.
