I recently acquired a 65 Country Sedan and its currently in a million pieces , but as I was unloading the rear seat from the previous owner he pointed out that the rear seat back is split folding and the brackets run through the seat bottom and bolt to the floor. Every picture I have seen on the internet shows a single piece back that folds down on these cars. Is this the correct seat ? Was it an option to get a split seat? If its not correct what is it from? I am not looking to restore this car but just curious if its a correct seat or not. Thanks in advance

I can't say if it is correct, or not, but the 65 Country Squire I grew up with did not have a split back rear seat. In our car the the rear seat back folded down in one piece, the whole width of the car. Try a Google search for sales brochures and see if a split back seat is listed as an available option.

70XL thanks for the reply. I have been looking on the web for that very same thing with no luck so far. Hopefully i'll stumble across it soon or someone else on here will have some insight.
Thanks
