Exercise in futility

For lack of anything else I can afford to do, I decided to have a go at patching the fuel tank off the 66. Every hole closed created three more, and it became increasingly obvious that I was welding a series of holes together! I can see why new tanks are so expensive now! They're worth it!

Re: Exercise in futility

The tank on my '59 was so bad, I just got another one and called it done. The float was made of brass and crumbled like dust in my hand.
