I am in the process of installing 3 point retract seat belts in my 69 Gal. (2 door hardtop) It was equipped with non retractable 3 points, so I have mounting holes in the floor and the top. Problem is I need another set of holes to mount the other end of the retract. (need an anchor other than the retract mechanism) Anybody done this, by chance?
Thanks

Helloooooooooo...

I hope someone eventually chimes in as I want to do the same thing in my '65 as well as my '68 Cougar. I don't like the thought of breaking my spine with just a lap belt. I'm gonna check and see if anyone offers a kit as well.

These are for a Fairlane so I don't know
I'm gonna contact them for my '65.

Well, I ended up calling Seatbeltplanet and those guys were VERY helpful. They discovered that the kit for my 69 Gal is the same as for the T-Bird (no big surprise there). I have learned that there is a big difference between the bench seat and the bucket seat install. Also the non post 2door is another issue. Mine has mountups on the roofline, so not a big deal there (My Fairlane might be another story.)
So... Long story short CALL THE SEATBELT GUYS, or you might waste money buying a kit that dont fit! (dont ask me how I know that)
Cheers

I just got an return email from them within two hrs., which is sort of amazing. The rep gave his tel. number and gave me some reference shots and colors to match the Ivy Gold that is in both my '68 Cougar and my '65 Galaxie. So that is who I will be going to for both cars. I like to feel like people actually want my money if you know what I mean.

Right! you wont find attention like that from an Amazon or eBay seller!

Thanks for posting back the info you found. I've never had a problem with the shoulder belt in my 70, but it is good to know there is an option for the older cars to improve passenger safety.
