Need help with identifying this part

I need help finding out what this is, it's under the truck it's some type of support bracket. It's not attached to the frame. Each end of the bracket there is a rubber bushing that supports the body.  Please help

Re: Need help with identifying this part

It needs replacing, by the looks of it. From the picture I'd maybe suggest it is a stiffener for the panel above. You said it is under the truck, but that looks like a floor, or trunk pan, not a truck bed floor. What vehicle is this?

Hi, sorry autocorrect but yes it is the trunk pan, and it's a 64 galaxy I am restoring. I have been trying to figure out what that piece is, it definantly needs replacing. Thanks, any help identifying is appreciated.

Re: Need help with identifying this part

I would doubt you'd find that piece as a repair part available from sheet metal parts suppliers. It seems they usually stamp the pans and panels, but not the braces and sub-structure. I think it might be easiest to fab it out of sheet metal. Replicate the the profile on a break, as close as you can to the original, and weld it in with plug welds to the pan, or even glue it to the trunk pan with panel adhesive.

Re: Need help with identifying this part

You won't find this part repoped. I just replaced one on a "61" I am working on.  I believe that they are the front mount for the gas tank., also possible stiffener for the trunk floor. According to the MPC(Master parts catalog) this part was included as part of the original trunk floor. According to the MPC Ford used the same pan for fullsized cars except wagons, from 1961-1963 and the "64" pan was different. How much different can't say I don't think much, buttttt.
You make one or you could find a part floor pan in the west somewhere.
