Re: coil spring dilema

looks good, how much stiffer is the front suspension after cutting another 1/4 coil??  This winter I have a similar project planed only in my case I am upgrading the springs from 350# per inch to 400# per inch so I can raise my front end a little bit.

Re: coil spring dilema

Honestly I don't really notice much of a difference. I would describe the front suspension as firm not stiff. I'm not sure if that firmness is a result of the total suspension rebuild or shortening the springs? Those old springs must have been really soft before the coil chop so if I stiffened them up a bit, I guess they needed it! Lol
BTW...I'm looking forward to your spindle modification to address the turning radius issue from the rack swap. How is that coming along?

Re: coil spring dilema

Did you get this fixed? I had the same problem as well a while ago.

Re: coil spring dilema

have not had a chance to work on the spindle mod yet.  Was really busy with football and now that that is over my daughter is playing high school basketball so my wife and I have been traveling a lot.  A week ago we drove 4 hours, watched a 1&1/2  hour game, then turned around and drove home.  Next week we have a 6 hour drive... each way, and thats not even the furthest schools in our devision.  There is one town with three schools in our devision thats 8 hours away but we wont play them thankfully.
