    Sun visor rod removable?

    SInce I got my Galaxie in 2011 , the sun visor on the drivers side has been easy to tilt down but very heavy to tilt up, As a result the front side of the visor has a rift. Is it possible to pull out the rod or is it any obstruction inside the visor. Have sprayed some silicon on the rod and twisted it fore and aft, but it doesnt help much

    Got the rod out at last, question now is how to make more space for the rod.Aapproximatly in the middle, the rod has deep tracks due to rotating so some metaltags have to touch the rod
