Hi Folks,
I have a 1969 Galaxie 2 door that I am working on, and I need to fabricate a part (not like the Mustang, where you can order anything) and would appreciate it if anybody who has one would send me a photo...
The metal on the rear quarter glass is missing from both sides (ARRRR) and I am finding it IMPOSSIBLE to find.. the rubber is easy enough, but not that metal. Easy enough to make, I just need a good reference. I would GREATLY appreciate any help.
Thanks a bunch.

Nobody else in the Universe has a 69 Galaxie 2door?

I won't promise a delivery date, but I have a 69 driver's door glass in my 70. I saw your first post and am planning to take some pictures that may be of some help. I didn't get the car put away before the snow and freezing rain of the last few days, so it should be easy enough to get some pics, when I have the time, and remember to do it. Just hang on and maybe I'll have some luck with it on the weekend.

There is a guy a few hours from me parting out a 69 two door and looks like he has the pieces you need. Want his number? I can PM you with info.

Its hardly cold yet, probably more freezing rain than snow. It has been much warmer than "normal", but next week we may catch up on the cold, -30C is forecast over night. Winter may finally be coming.
The metal on the rear window is how the '70 is. In 1970 the seal was on the quarter glass, not the door glass. The 69 design is in two pieces, the base piece that is attached to the glass and the piece that holds the rubber seal that appears to be fastened to the base piece at the bottom, where it angles back. I'd assume they are made from stainless steel and polished.
If Dan can broker that parts sale it would be great for you, but I doubt central Saskatchewan is anywhere close to Midland, USA, however.
