    Axle shaft measurement needed

    Can anybody confirm what the total length of the passenger side axle shaft is on a 61 Galaxie? What is the length if you were to stand the shaft up on end on the studs and measure from ground to end of shaft. Also confirm 28 splines. 9 inch rear end. 
    I think I found a replacement I just don't want to take mine out to measure just yet. Saving that job for this winter!

    FYI...28 spline, 33 1/4" total length and  about 1 3/8" diameter at bearing. I understand this to be a small bearing axle. A large bearing axle is similar except the axle diameter at bearing is about 1.5".
