Master cylinder

KHi, don't know if this is the norm but when I apply my brakes , brake fluid is forced out of the master cylinder cap. Would I need a new master cylinder? Its a 67 with the dual bowl. It seems its the front small section of the bowl that squirts it out.

Re: Master cylinder

I would make sure the fluid level was not too full and replace the seal on the cap.    Would also make sure the cap matches the bowls on the cylinder.     Something to check before you spend $$ replacing the master cylinder.

Re: Master cylinder

Thanks for info, changed the seal on the m/c and works a treat. Sorry didn't reply sooner as had to wait for delivery of seal from rockauto to england.
