Brakes dragging/binding help?

Anyone have any ideas on what’s going on? I have a ’64 Galaxie that’s had a power disc brake conversion on it (conversion was already on the car when I got it, don't know which one it is). Sometimes the brakes drag and kind of bind a little unless I pull the brake pedal up with my foot. The brakes stop as well as any brakes I’ve ever seen, just don’t know what’s going on. Ideas? It has a dual diaphragm booster if that helps at all?

Re: Brakes dragging/binding help?

Is there a spring that's supposed to hold the brake pedal up?

Re: Brakes dragging/binding help?

Are you looking under the dash? Is there a place on the pedal and a bracket above the pedal for a spring to attach? Or maybe it's the type that goes on the pivot pin, I can't remember which it is.

It'll either look like this (if it goes from the pedal to the bracket):

Or like this:

The second pic would be this type:

Return spring, bingo. I've seen them broken or installed wrong a few times... or missing.
