Hi guys.
I've got a car I need a value on, and I was hoping I've come to the right place.
My Dad's first car, his 63, has been in the shed, and not run, since about 1988. After years of just sitting there, the time has come to make a decision. Get rid of it, or fix it up. I think the best thing right now is to just find a buyer for it.
But I am not sure on the value, as I believe it is somewhat rare. So, here are the facts:
1963
2 door sedan
Police interceptor model.
390
3 speed manual w/ OD
Was, I believe, and unmarked trooper car. It is "champaign" in color
All original, except shifter was moved from the column to the floor (hurst)
Body is fairy straight. Really not much rust at all. It's been inside, not wet, not in the sun.
I'm sure the mice have been inside however, so seats/carpet will need replaced.
Not sure if it will start. Motor has not been turned over, and there is a chance it is froze, but I doubt it.
So, here are my questions. And thanks in advance for the answers and advice:
What's the thing worth?
What questions do you have that might help me out?
Thanks!
Scott

With out seeing it I would guess (especially since its not running) $300 to $8000. One good way to figure out what something is worth is to see what others are asking for their cars. I like www.CCTOL.com put in the year and you will see quite a price range from junk to way to much. Find several similar to yours and it will give you a range, as long as you remember that these prices are what people are asking not what they are getting.
