Before and after

Well, it's finally on the road, time to start cruising. I spent the last five winters in the garage and probably 5 million hours working on this old beast. I bought the car in 1988 and since 1990 that car sat under a tarp waiting for life. In that time I was busy with all of life's other priorities like many of us are. So it was only in the last few years, i was able to donate the time and money it takes to get these old girls back on the road. Just wanted to pass on a really big thanks to all of you that responded to my many questions. I really feel fortunate to be able to belong to this Forum, where so many are willing to share and help out a fellow enthusiast.

Re: Before and after

That is a fine looking car!!  I am so glad we were able to help.  Now that your car is "done"  don't leave us as others can benefit from your experience.

Re: Before and after

Thanks for the compliments. Yes, plan on sticking around as I am always learning something new from this forum. Also hope to answer any questions others may have about a project like this one.

To 70XL: Those rims are VOXX Old Skool rims. 20" in the back 18" in the front. They have an all chrome version which are really nice, but kind of pricey for my budget.

I really like the grey centers with the machined rim. This is the kind of wheel I'm leaning towards for whenever I can get around to it. If not the traditional five spoke, then the lacey split spoke type. I like the apparent sharpness of the facets on the spokes on yours, the definition of the light and shadow appeals to me.
