Thought I would post a picture of the back of the bracket attached to the steering flange. In a previous post, some concern over weld failure and safety was discussed. Hope this picture shows better how I fabbed the bracket. I feel confident I shouldn't have issue.

A quick follow up on the rack and pinion conversion now that I am driving the car. I LOVE the new steering! The steering is very responsive. Now, I don't have to turn the steering wheel half a rotation to lane change. No more turning the steering wheel side to side to try and keep the car straight! No bump steer, no road harshness, no vibration in the steering wheel. I would do this conversion again in a heartbeat! If anyone out there is considering this conversion, I say GO FOR IT!
