I want to recover the seats in a 63 country sedan I'm about to buy and I can't find anyone who makes a kit. The front one is the worst. Do any of you know of someone who makes a cover? Are the seat covers interchangeable between the this and different galaxie's or are the seats different dimensions?
Thanks

I checked out Concours Auto Parts catalogue, looks like they have kits.

I can only find 63 galaxie 500/500xl seat covers on their site. Are they the same or am I looking in the wrong area? I'm new to these cars. Thanks for the reply.

Yes you were looking in the correct area. I guess i read too fast and missed the "Country Sedan" part of your car which makes in the wagon? Sorry my bad.

Thats fine. Yeah its a wagon. I just don't know if it has the same seat as a base galaxie or if its completely different.

Perhaps you could post some pics and some measurements and someone on this forum with a 63 sedan could compare with theirs?
I would think the front seat of your car would be the same as a sedan. I wonder if Ford used the same front seat from a 2 door car for the rear seat in the wagon, so that you could fold the seat forward so people could get into the back area of the car? If that was the case...a front seat cover from a sedan and seat cover from a front two door car might work for those two seats you have? If you have the 9 passenger unit, you still have the back fold down seat to deal with. Sorry I can't help further!

I will try that when I get the car in about a week. thanks

I would think the front seats would be the same between the wagons and sedans. The rear seat back would fold forward to extend the load floor, so the seat back may not have been as high as the sedan and coupe. I was wondering if a sedan/coupe rear cover might be adaptable, but probably not if it is taller than the wagon seat back. A good upholstery shop can make anything you want, but that way would likely be more costly. Check in the factory service manual and compare part numbers between the models and see if thee is any interchange info. There may even be some online access to that info, so give Google a try and see what you can find.

Contact LeBarron Bonny. Give them the interior code. They will make a perfect duplicate of the original seat
for your trim shop to install. Such-a-deal.

I am also looking for Country sedan upholstery. The Galaxie 500 upholstery is not close.
