Needing a source for the glass run channel weatherstrip for the REAR quarter glass on a 1960 Fairlane 500 2 dr. sedan (NOT hardtop). I see that the glass run channel weatherstrips are readily available for the front glass (door) on hardtops and convertibles for 1960, and could be used for the sedans. The upper (top) weatherstrip for the quarter glass can be made from bulk material, but the front and rear lower quarter glass run channels seem to not be available. The channels have mounting tabs and/or brackets made as a part of them. Any sources, or recommendations for fabrication of these channels?
Thanks,
David.

Any chance you could post a picture of what it is you are after. I have seen different parts being called different things so a picture really helps.

dan 6776.... I haven't been able to post pictures on the forum yet, but I believe I have figured a way to re-attack the clips to anew glass run channel weatherstrip. The one side I have done appears to work ok. We'll see how well it holds up. Thanks, David.

On my '59 Custom 300 I used Y619 and Y620 channel, one was rigid, used that for the vent window channel. The rear 1/4 window lower channel I pop riveted it to the bracket that was there. Actually had to scrounge that up, my car was a basket case.

BOBSS396... Thanks. So far, the channel that I re-attached the clips to is holding up. The clips have tiny teeth on the side that is attached to the channel. Straightening the teeth and placing the clip on the backside of the channel w/ some rubber cement, then bending over the teeth from inside the channel has worked. Must be precise when striking the teeth from inside the channel. They cannot be seen, so a small flat tipped punch in the proper location is necessary. I will need to order some more channel to complete the rest of the glass channel runs. David.
