WTB: I am needing to buy some seat buttons and backing plates for my 1963 Galaxie 500XL. These "chromed" buttons attach to the upholstery on the upright portion of the seat backs, both front and rear. I am in need of eight (8) of the buttons with backing plates, as the upholsterer has misplaced some of the originals. I have two from a 68 don`t know if they are the same, but if they are you can have them for $15.00 plus shipping.

Shelby21... I'll do some checking to see if the '68 buttons are the same as those for a '63 500XL. I'll let you know either way. Thanks for your reply. David.

Shelby21... It appears that the seat trim buttons for the '68 are different than those of the '63. The '68 buttons are narrower, and somewhat taller, by looking at the buttons sold by some suppliers. I knew the Mustang buttons were different, but did not know about the 500xl buttons. Thanks for taking the time to respond to my ad. Have a nice day. David
