My 59 Sunliner needs a right vent window glass. Are the Sunliners and hard top windows interchangable?

I received an NOS vent window glass today. QUESTION: Can the new glass be installed without
removing the frame from the door? It looks easy enough.

My car is a sedan and the whole frame work came out easily. What shape is the vent window rubber in? It may get destroyed in the process and I'd count on that happening. The vent rubber goes for around $100 for both sides and the back edge seal is around $18 for the pair. The vent rubber does get riveted to the frame, so in short, take it all apart.

I read in the shop manual an hour ago that the vent glass can be replaced with the frame on the car. NEAT !
I will visit my local glass shop for the material that wraps over the edge in the frame.

I just handed my vent windows, door channel, the glass and the new seals to the guy who does my glass. Like magic, he did a great job on it.

I took my NOS glass to my local glass installer. He noticed it is delaminating and gave it back to me.
The person that sold it to me on Ebay has volunteered to take it back for ful credit.

The seller refunded my $24 for the bad glass. It's not necessary for me to return it.
The glass shop cut a new glass for $36.00. The shop will install it for $25. more.

I returned to the glass shop for installation of the new vent window glass. It took the technician 45 min.
The NOS glass provided the form for the new glass. It needed to be trimmed several times to fit properly.
The total labor charge was $15.00. Such a deal at twice the price.
