1961 Ford Galaxie Starliner

Hello out there, I'm new to this forum but I've been told by many that to get my questions answered this is the way to go. Ok with that said, I am starting to work on a 61 starliner from the frame up. I already have the whole car down to the frame so now I'm stuck. I'm having trouble finding suspension & steering parts. My grandfather bought this car brand new and has been in my family ever since, so I'm sure you all know why I need to do this right. If anyone has done a full suspension job please get me on the right path. Websites and phone #s would be a great help, thank you for taking the time to read this, I look forward to hearing from anyone and hopefully I will start posting pics once I get started, and again Thank You.....

Re: 1961 Ford Galaxie Starliner

I ordered a complete front end rebuild kit for my 61 from Andersen Restoration. $250.00. Did not include inner tie rods. www.a-resto-parts.com. I found them very helpful with some questions I had. Good luck!

http://p-s-t.com has front end kits at fantastic prices.   I got my kit from them and it came with 4 ball joints, 4  LCA bushings, 2 UCA shafts and 4 corresponding shaft  caps, 2 end links, 2 outer tie rods, 2 tie rod sleeves and all the grease fittings and cotter pins needed to install everything.  I also got a 1" sway bar from them which was a huge improvement over the tiny one Ford put on the car.

PST is the way to go, I've bought lots of things from them over the years. Many parts are common between the '57 to '64 full-size Fords, finding it should not be an issue.
