I have a 1965 Galaxie. Have the opportunity to buy bucket seats, rear seat and console for a 1966 Galaxie 500XL. Are they the same framework, tracks, console fit etc? Thank you for any help you can give me!

The front and rear bench seats in a 65 and 66 fastback and sedan are interchangeable so I would think the buckets for the XL would too. Somebody out there must know this!

I have a 65 galaxie base model, converting it into a XL. Found 66 XL parting out i was able to buy the center console, bucket seats and the rear seat with the XL package tray.
The fun begins:
The package tray need to be trimmed and bent back into shape until it fits.
The center console fits just fine, the floor board had dimples to alien the screws
The bucket seats fit just fine, had to drill new holes only one side on each seat.
I don’t know if you have a ATrans shifter on the steering column. FYI the shift linkage is opposite if you want to use the floor shifter. This is what I’m working on right now figuring out the linkage issue.
