Hey guys ..my buddy said he found a method of cleaning chrome on the internet..diet coke and aluminum foil..Any body heard of this before or even tried it??

it does work but make sure it really is chrome and not stainless steel, nickel plated, or anodized aluminum..

Do you have any idea on how to bring the side trim back to life on my 67..It's currently off the car and easy to work with.it's very straight bit it's this washed out milky kinda look to it.

Is it aluminum? If it is aluminum, to get it bright again you'll likely have to strip the anodizing off and then polish the aluminum to get it shiny. After that, the challenge is protecting the surface to keep it from oxidizing. If it is stainless, then it should hole a polish much longer than raw aluninum.

I bought a set of Harbor Fright buffing wheels and a stainless stick for the stainless on my Ford.... works mint. Anything anodized, like others suggest, would have to be completely stripped and clear anodized.
