I am working on a 1966 500xl conv 390 4sp. Driver Bucket seat has no headrest and passanger has a headrest.
Question 1 - Was this an option at the time or have seats been switched?
Question 2 - how do I go about finding one of each istead of having to but two pair.
Thank You

I don't think I've ever seen a 66 vintage bucket seat with a headrest, so that would be interesting to see. Post pictures of your seats please.

I'm pretty sure the factory buckets for 64-66 did not have headrests. I am not sure I have ever seen a XL convertible with buckets either. Most convertibles have the bench seat and the Fastback XL's had buckets best I remember.

I had a 66 Tbird convt with a reclining passinger seat that had a headrest, might be what yuo have. Not surer if it is the same but check out some 7 litre sights to be sure. Good luck
