Now that I got the 4.6 in the 61, the next step is to deal with the engine electronics. I contacted Ron Francis Wiring a couple of times now about an EFI wiring package. They offer a wire package for my application. I need to send them the ECU so they can eliminate the PATS security system and reprogam the unit to eliminate all emission stuff. The reprogrammed computer will allow for electric fan and aftermarket fuel pump. They have assured me that the detail instructions make it possible for a guy like me with very little electrical knowledge to get thru this.
So here is my question: Does anybody out there have experience with this that they would be willing to share?

I don't have specific experience with what you are working on but I am really good at wiring and can probably help out. I also built my own MegaSquirt ECU (not installed yet) so I have some experience EFI

Thanks I appreciate the offer. I will most likely buy a Francis wiring kit. A good friend of mine once told me "You have to know when to admit defeat" when you are in over your head. I am therefor throwing the towel in on this one and buying something available. Since this my first EFI install, I think it would be in my best interest to purchase something that is already available just to make my life easier.
I was hoping to make contact with someone who may have done a similar install just to pass on some advice.
One thing with Ron Francis I have discovered is that they really won't say you need this or that. They will however make what ever it is you tell them you need. That is where the challenge lies for me.
