Wiring nightmare!

This last week I spent pretty much every evening under the dash. In the tangled mess of wires, I discovered bare wires, cut wires, band aids used rather than electrical tape, spliced wires not taped, extra wires hanging, broken door light switches and a broken courtesy light. Numerous dead bulbs in the cluster and a busted voltage regulator. This would probably explain why nothing worked. Once my new voltage regulator arrives, it all goes back together.

Re: Wiring nightmare!

Very nice! I found most of that plus some lamp cord under the dash of my '59. The dash is about 1/2 out and I'm installing a Kwik Wire harness kit.

Re: Wiring nightmare!

Wiring is one of those things you either love or hate.  Sure can be a pain in the but when trying to track down an intermitent issue.  Other than that I always enjoyed it.

I'm curious, what is a Kwik Wire harness kit?

It is a place that sells street rod wiring harnesses.  they are a little les expensive but because thay are not model specific it is not a simple plug and play.
