New use for a wheel chock. The new rear springs for my Gal had too much arch in them to get close enough to get the bolts in the spring shackles started. What I wound up doing was placing the wheel chock between the frame and the spring in the rear after getting the front bolt started and then placing a little pressure on the spring with a floor jack. It did not take much. But the rubber wedge shape of the chock made this the perfect installation tool. I only managed to get one side done, as I am pretty slow on my feet now, but I will take a pic of this procedure tommorow when I do the other side, if anyone wants to see it.

Easy jack pressure from under the spring = no muss, no fuss, no hard physical labor lining the shackles up.

cool idea. Where did you get your replacement springs and how do you like them?

I got the springs from the Suspension King.com All I can attest to so far is they were dimensionally the same as the originals, and they had the proper round locating pin. I went all original with this as its never going to be a race car, so I sprung for the thick rubber isolators and such as well. The isolators came from autokrafters, and the rubber bushings also came from Suspension king, All seemed to fit well.
