im stuck on this becuase i love my 289 engines but i also would like to have a big block. what is yalls take on this?

Door 1, 289W
I have a 302W in my Galaxie with low gears and 5-speed. Because of the low gears the car gets up and moves well but with out the low gears it would be a pig. I figure I have about 300 HP and 275 Trq. Any less would not be enough and without the 5-speed my gears would be low enough that car would be screeming at highway speeds. I guess what I am saying is a 289W and 3-speed will probably not be as enjoyable to drive.
Door 2, 390
On the flip side a 390 will be at least twice as expensive to build as a 289 and get horible milage. Also a 390 is almost twice the weight of ta Windser series engine making the suspension stifness requirement much greater and thus the ride harsher, but on the plus side the extra power of the 390 would make for a more driveable car than a 289W.
Door 3, 351W (I like door three thats why I added it)
Sell the 289 (worth quite a bit if its a 5 bolt and yoursis if it is the original engine) and use the money to build a 351 Windsor. Almost the same block as the 289-302 and will drop right in using 289 engine mounts but the larger displacement will be a little closer in power to the 390, much lighter than the 390 but not any more expensive to build than a 289. I would have put a 351 in my Gal but I got to good a deal on my performance 302.
