I have a 64 Galaxie convertible with a rusted frame. I have a 63 Galaxie frame available to me but don't know if it will fit? The 63 frame is from a hard top car. Any help on this would be great!

I am not 100% sure but I believe 61-64 frames are interchangeable however I know in 62 at least the crossmember for the transmission was a lot different on the virt to add extra rigidity. I am guessing that if you can weld you should be able to make it work.

A '63 frame should work on a '64 without any problems. A convertable frame is completely different than a hard top frame.

Posting a picture out of a 61 shop manual to compare a convertible and conventional frame. You can see the convertible has cross bracing in the frame. This is to add rigidity to the frame due to the missing metal roof.
