Well after about a 3 months, I'm ready to start on my 62 wagon again.
first is fitting the rear axle out of my 77 ranchero, it is about 4" wider then the 62
but it fits the wheel wells, with 235/75 15 .
I'll be removing (I hope) the rear support brace from the Ranchero, then make it fit
between the rails on the 62. that will give me the mounting points for the sway bar and
upper control arms. then need to fabriqate a mounting point for the lower arms.
Then just hookup the trans shifter, I've taken a floor shifter out of a mustang
to use...

So you are going from leaf springs to coilover?? if so TPNP or This Post NEEDS Pictures

I originally did that in my 62 before I dumped the automatic for a 5-speed manual. Worked very well. In my application I had to lengthen the linkage rod because the I was using a 84 AOD but other than that the Mustang shifter worked fantastic.
