66 Galaxie front end problems

Okay here it goes:
66 Galaxie with stock front end except the disk brake are form a 86 lincoln town car. This is my sons car and after we repalced the tires and had it aligned, 6 months later the front 2 tire were cupped to the point of showing wire belts.( bad alignement i think, but I decided to rebuild the fornt end as it has not been done in 20+ years at least.

I just finshed rebuilding the front end with a kit form PST ( upper and lower ball joints, new control arm bushings, outer tie rod ends, sway bar links and sway bar bushings). The problem I am having is the rotors now contact the LCA on both sides. The car has not been aligned, and this probelm never showed up until I rebuilt the front end.

Questions:
I should be able to fix the rotor to LCA contact with camber or is there something I should be looking for?
What are the recommend alignemnt specs for this car?
Any suggestions on upgrades or fixes. I can provided pictures if needed.

Yes, put up pictures to show what you're talking about. Maybe the previous poor alingment was the result of working around an incompatible brake conversion? Did you match the front end parts to the old for length, etc., to get it close to the way it was? Call around to alignmnet shops in your area and see if any kept their old books with specs for cars this vintage.

This is exactly what I'm thinking as well.  Either your old parts were not stock in order to deal with the brake conversion ( likely ) or the new parts were not the correct stock parts.

In any case, when it comes to the alignment question, if you are competent enough to change out the suspension components, then you certainly have the skills to learn how to do your own alignments.  The tools required will not cost much more than one alignment would cost, and they are reuseable.  It's not that difficult, and you will likely get the settings much closer than an alignment shop would. After all, it's your car, and you'll be taking your time to get it right.

For an alignment shop these old cars are not money makers and therefore just a pain in the -oh no I used a word I shouldn't have-.
