just got my 65 galaxie 500 and its got a 289 in it, i would love to drop in a stroked 351w, my question is..... is it a drop in swap? or will there be issues?

They are both small blocks, so the engine should drop right in on the same engine mounts and the trans bolt pattern should be the same.

The 351W is a little taller than the 289 but other than that it is the exact same configuration as its 289/302 brothers.

Count on the exhaust not bolting up without some "adjustments" due to the head & deck differences noted above.
