looks like fun. What engine are you putting in there and what specs/go fast parts are you using??

Got back last night from Good Guys Show in Kissimmee. Had a great time! 390 will get all specs from builder when its done. Going for about 4-450 hp and 500 torque. 4 speed top loader freshly built last week. Yukon trac loc with 3:00 gears in the 9" rear.

Sounds like it is going to be a monster of a motor!

Nice to see another 67 being built with custom/personal touches. I can't wait to get started on mine, for now I will have to enjoy watching yours

Just like the others following you. can't wait to see what you do next I like the seat stuf you've done.
Did you do the math to see if the 295/50s would fit and test fit or did you just mount them up and test fit? I'm think you probably have more room in the rear wheel well than a 61 has? I was wanting to try to squeeze 295/50R15s on my 61 but I couldn't figure out if I had the space. I have the tires on a 68 Pontiac but lacked an appropriate 15x9 or 10 wheel to test fit. I ended up with 15x8s on the rear with 235/60R15s.

The wheel well for my 62 is almost the same as your 61 and I put a set of 255/50 R17 on the rear. It is such a tight fit I have to lift the car just in front of the leaf spring and let the rear suspension hang down completely to get the tires on. If they were any bigger... even 1/8" bigger they wouldn't fit.

Any chance you could post a picture from the rear of the car to be able to see how those rear tires fill the wheel well? Thank you.

I've got to ask about the seats. There are so many Crown Vics and Towncars in the local pick-n-pull I may have to go out and score a set for myself. Those look great! What modifications are required for the rears to fit?

Here is a shot from the outside. it looks like there is a lot of room between the fender lip and tires BUT there is just barely enough room to get the tires to fit between the wheel studs and the fender lip.
As you can see from the next pic the tires fill the well. Not tons of room but enough room for the suspension to move and to get the tires on.
In this last pic you can see I only have about .75" between the tires and leaf spring.

Those are great pictures...thanks for the posts, I appreciate it very much! I was planning on 17's as well, just wasn't sure how big of rubber I could slip in there. I'm also curious about the offset on those rims as that is crucial to the fit? Again, thanks!
