I'm looking for a LH rear bumper outter arm for a 61 Sunliner as the original is a bit bent. Not sure if it can be straightened out. Kind of hard to explain how it's bent, but seems as if the car was tapped on that side or it was back into something fairly low to the ground.
According to my 61 parts manual it's part number C1AB-17796-A which is for all except the station wagons. I don't know if 62 or later arm is interchangeable?

if it was the front I would have what you needed, but being the rear I do not. The front bumper parts on a 61 and 62 are totally interchangeable but the rear bumpers are quite a bit different so I don't think the rear parts would be interchangeable.

I just did a check on ebay and there are a couple of guys parting out 61's. The pictures I saw showed rear bumpers on the cars, so I would think the bracket you need may still be on the cars. Have you tried going that route? I entered "61 Galaxie rear bumber mounts" in the search bar. Good luck.

Thanks for the info...i was able to find all 3 rear bumper parts on ebay for $70 from a 61 Fairlane. Should be the same as a galaxie according to parts manual.

That is correct. The Fairlane downsized in 62. Before that the Galaxie and Fairlane wew basically the same car.
