passing gear linkage (blue) was cut from the c6 and welded to the galaxies passing gear linkage.  A bolt was welded into the blue piece first as it is hollow steel tube.

C shaped piece cut out of the left over 3/16 plate used for making the cross member adapters. This piece used to get the linkage from the c6 to bolt to the pass side of the steering column. (This C shaped piece was later removed when I switched back to the Galaxie linkage and a 70 Galaxie C6 transmission)

The linkage in my hand is the cruise o matics..you can see its the wrong angle ...the linkage on the transmission shifter with the long slot is correct for the c6 and comes straight down from the column

Re: cruise o matic to C6 conversion info...

Above pic of the emerg brake cable need to take in about 3 inches of slack.  I took the cable out of the crossmember and pulled the crossmember completely out of the way. then put it back in after the C6 was bolted up..I guess if you're good, you can Just disconnect the emergency brake cables from the brake bracket aft of the cross member and somehow shove the crossmember up to the car floor and sideways past the exhaust pipes ..then bring it back down after the trans is in but not sure how that will work out. or how you will secure it and keep it from falling on you as you wrestle the C6 into position.

Mangled up but functional vacuum line going to modulator valve.  I was able to use the cruise o matic line and run it up the pass side of the transmission. Pull the vacuum hose around the back of the bell housing and reconnect.  The modulator is shove in kind...15.00 at Advance Auto.  Your cruise o matic modulator is screw in type ..won't work.

Re: cruise o matic to C6 conversion info...

reverse and forward work. moved around in the parking lot.  I have not taken it out on the road yet.  Will have to get few things straightened out on the engine first.

Re: cruise o matic to C6 conversion info...

It's slipping.  I guess thats what you get when you buy out of the junk yard but I'll pull it out and rebuild it myself.  Live and learn.
