Yes and No, it all depends on your mechanical ability. That being said, it can be a frustrating job or easy, it means taking your tome and noting where ever thingĀ goes when disassembling. It would help to have a shop manual as to assist you. My way is to let the window stay in the bottom of the door as you remove the vent frame. That way you can get at the weatherstrip for removing and then replacing. After that you will wish you had another hand on your body to help. All mechanics should be born with three hands and arms to make there lives easier, ha ha ha.Hope this helps.
Full-size Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury cars » headers for a 1967 convertible 390 » December 26, 2016 9:41 am |
My experience with headers on 65-68 galaxies is the body mount on the inner frame rail that the sedans and hardtops do not have. Long tube headers might not clear the mounts as noted by the header mfg.notes. I went with sanderson shorty headers to solve the problem on my 428. This is not an endorsement for them, just a solution. Good luck with install and i hope if they work, it will be informative to all of us.

I have a 67 convertible that i replaced the weatherstrips on it and you can lower the window by removing the lower stop bracket in the bottom of the door attached to the window. But you will not be able to remove the fizzy's with out removing the vent window assembly in order to remove the screws behind it.

In order to remove the vent window you must remove the vent wondow regulator and the pinch bolt to the vent window assembly. The 2 bolts ar 5/16 (1/2 in socket) and the pinch bolt is 1/4" (7/16 socket) There is also 2 nuts that hold and adjust the angle of the chanel that need to be removed(both the nuts and the studs they are attached to.
