I'mr reinstalling the axle in my 62 Country Sedan wagon
the axle looks to be an oringinal to the car, but the tag makes no sense to me, and I've been searching the
net for info.
I took these numbers off the tag last night
G2AA4001
BS 138
3.56 1H
I know the 3.56 is axle ratio but can anyone tell me what the other numbers mean.
Thanks

The G is probably actually a C as most Ford part #s start with a letter followed by a # to indicate the year.
C = 60s
D = 70
E = 80s and so on
C2 would indicate 62 the rest of the #s are specific to that part. if you googla "C2AA4001" lotts of things come up.
