On my 61, the identification plate on the front door jamb has a 6 stamped on the plate for axle. I checked my factory shop manual and the number 6 code is not listed. The ring and pinion gears have 39 and 13 teeth, so this would make it a 3:1 ratio. I was wondering why this gear ratio is not listed in the factory shop manual I have?

some one may have swapped it out over the last 50 years. however 3:1 is a common ratio so you would think it would be listed.
