I am trying to install seat belts in my Galaxie and need to remove the the rear benc seat but I cant figure it out. If anyone could tell me how to remove the seat or lead me to a prior post, I would be very thankful.

if you grab hold of the seat where the front edge meets the floor and pull up it should pop loose

When I did the install of seat belts back there I removed the top half of the back and the lower half. I thought I remember I had to push the lower bench back (towards the trunk) and down a little to get it out from under the the brackets at the front of the lower bench... but that was a few years back

Thanks everyone. Your tips worked, the lower seat is out. and I have drilled the wholes for the seat belts. Unfortunately, I ordered the seatbelts first and they were too long. Job will be complete by this weekend, just waiting on the new belts.
