Rear Torque boxes- 1965 Galaxie Convertible

Bad news------both rear torque boxes and the frame attached to them are rotted out.   Are replacements available?  I haven't found anything yet.  Are any other makes/models interchangeable?   Mustang....etc....? this drastically changes my plans and timeline.... HELP>DM

Re: Rear Torque boxes- 1965 Galaxie Convertible

Welding in new frame sections is a big job and requires the removal of the body. IMHO you'd be better off finding a donor car with a solid frame to swap.

I'm just shooting from the hip here so someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but if memory serves me right I believe Galaxie frames are interchangeable from '65 to '68. Also I think the 2 & 4 door hardtops and station wagons were all built with the same heavy-duty boxed rail frames as the convertibles, they just may have different body mounts.
