front coil springs for 64 Galaxie

I need to replace the sacked out springs on my car with the goal of improving handling and restoring the stock ride height.

Are Detroit Eaton springs worth the additional cost over Moog springs?

I have been focusing on the Eaton springs, and they list the MC 1214 for the car with a 289 no a/c, MC 5220 for same with a/c

For a 390 car, MC 5220 for no a/c, MC1350 with A/C.

My car has a 351 Cleveland, which weighs 90 lbs more than the 289, except I have an aluminum intake, may go to headers also.

I asked about police car spec springs, and they have none listed.

Any thoughts on which springs would work best are appreciated.

Re: front coil springs for 64 Galaxie

I replaced the front springs in my 1964 Ford galaxie with Coil Springs Front, 352, 390, 406, 427, 428, Galaxie, 1963-1966 Part #: 60-79738-1  from MAC's. My car also has a 351C, the springs really raised the front up, had to use a spring compressor to install them.

JW, are you happy with the stance and can you post a pic?
Also, with the 351c, what headers are you using? Auto or stick?
Thanks!

The fender lip is about 1.5 inches above the top of the tire.  I would assume that the springs should settle a little after a little time on the road. Auto, no headers.
