NOS...(new old stock) should be just that. When shopping ebay you see a lot of ads for parts that have no pic of the fomoco logo on the part, no pic of the box it came in...makes you wonder what you will get. Will it be aftermarket part that has been misrepresented?? And by the way who needs a switch, wire plug or other hidden part that is NOS??? Unless you are entering some concour correct contest. NORS (new old replacement stock) seems very deceiving to me.. Why not just call it aftermarket?? is it old aftermarket?. an example i guess would be the "glo-brite" tail lights. Lots of these on ebay. More and more I tend to lean toward just buying my parts from a supplier..ie Eklers, Autokrafters, Dennis Carpenter, at least if I am disappointed with the quality I can return it. Some stuff you know ...like trim pieces old radios, seat frames etc. can only be found used. For these I really try and freshen up what ever came off my car and reuse it. But shopping around I'm always looking at Ebay and craigslist. Most of the parts are in rough shape and they want top dollar. Occasionally I have found a good deal.

I have a few set eBay searches that I look at, at least once a week. I've gotten some good deals on NOS parts, still in the Ford boxes or wrappers. I got a piece of side trim for my '59, still in the Ford wrapper with the part number on it. The idiot seller sends it improperly packaged and it arrives bent. I got 1/2 my money back after a bit of back and forth, but eBay sided with me. I fixed the trim and it looks great, but took 3 hours of my time.
I've run across some really nice used parts, just picked up an outstanding pair of headlight bezels for $50. I've seen parts badly pitted that are much worse than anything I have going for top $$ in someone's eBay store and they are not moving.
Almost anything else I get from places like Concours and C & G Ford Parts (they called me to wish me a merry Xmas...). Electrics is another story. Headlight switch I got with my harness kit. Ignition switch, Napa. Electrical sockets all came from The Wiring Depot. These parts I can get very easily for a fraction of a NORS part.
